Minister for Energy (Mr. Spring): In accordance with the Government's Action Plan for Irish, 1983-86; in my Department (1) a responsible officer has been appointed; (2) an Irish Development Committee has been established; (3) a number of steps in the fostering of a bilingual atmosphere in the workplace have been initiated and these are set out at pages 18 and 19 of Bord na Gaeilge's recent report for 1984-85. Since supplying the material contained in that report, the committee has continued to support and stimulate a higher level of Irish in so far as staffing and financial constraints will allow.
