46. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the volume of sawlog and other timber which he proposes to offer for sale this year; and the amount disposed of to date.

Minister for Fisheries and Forestry (Mr. O'Toole): The amount of sawlog and other timber programmed by the Forest and Wildlife Service of my Department for marketing in 1985 is 1.25 million /m³ (i.e. 0.6 million/m³ sawlog and 0.625 million/m³ other timber). Up to the end of October 1985 0.47 million/m³ of sawlog and 0.5 million/m³ of other timber had been sold.
