339. Mr. V. Brady asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give details of the gross incomes for the six month period from 1 January to 30 June 1985, of each of the six temporary veterinary inspectors accruing from duties carried out at North Wall, Dún Laoghaire and Dublin Airport; the dates on which each officer was approved for such duties; the length of time each officer had to wait for the first appointment dating from the submission of his official application to his Department; and the parameter applied in determining individual duty-frequency.

[233] Private veterinary practitioners are approved for engagement as part time temporary veterinary inspectors on the basis that they will be called upon as and when their services are required. Individual duty frequency is determined by the portal supervisor having regard to the work requirements.
