126. Mr. J. Leonard asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to commence the extension to the Holy Family School, Cootehill, for severely handicapped in view of the present demand for such a school.

Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): I informed the North Eastern Health Board last year that I was prepared to make capital funds available for the planning of the extension to the day care centre at the Holy Family School, Cootehill. The present position is that officers of my Department are seeking clarification from the health board on the costs and accommodation involved. Following the detailed planning of the project the commencement of construction will be considered as sympathetically as possible in the light of the capital resources available to me.
