480. Mrs. Lemass asked the Minister for Health if he will consider appointing a representative of nurses on the board of James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): I am at present considering the restructuring of the board of James Connolly Memorial Hospital to take account of its future role in the provision of general hospital services in the Dublin area. I will consider the question of the representation of nurses on the board in this context.
