Written Answers. - County Dublin Road Improvement.

440. Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for the Environment if, having regard to the new developments proposed at Ballycragh, Firhouse, County Dublin and the inevitable increase in traffic flow which will result on the Firhouse Road, he will state the plans that exist to upgrade the Firhouse Road, County Dublin.

441. Mr. Shatter asked the Minister [47] for the Environment whether his Department has any plans to upgrade the Firhouse Road in view of the proposed new developments to take place in the Ballycragh area in accordance with the provisions of the Dublin County Council Ballycragh Action Plan.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): I propose to take Questions Nos. 440 and 441 together. It is a matter for Dublin County Council, as road authority, to plan, execute and finance such improvements to Firhouse Road as they consider necessary.
