Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture (a) if any protection is available in terms of a special quota within the operation of the super-levy for new producers in particular in the case of a farmer (details supplied) in County Wexford and (b) to outline how the available flexi-milk quotas will be distributed between farmers with disease problems, financial difficulties, and new producers. Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy) Austin Deasy 2078 Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): While it is intended to cater for new producers, farmers with disease problems and farmers with heavy investments in milk production, in the arrangements to be made for producers with special difficulties, the detailed rules for these [2078] cases have yet to be finalised. I have arranged a meeting for this purpose with representatives of the farming and co-operative organisations later this week and I will be making an announcement setting out these details shortly afterwards.
