487. Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for Health if he will indicate when building [1052] will commence on the site for the proposed adult activation and training unit for the mentally handicapped in Tullamore, County Offaly.

Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): My Department and the Midland Health Board had discussions about this project recently at which it was agreed that the Midland Health Board would consider the details of the project in consultation with local interests. My Department are now awaiting a submission from the board on receipt of which the timescale for the project can be considered.
