695. Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Education the number of schools both primary and post primary in County Galway where renovation, reconstruction or extension work is being carried out at present; and the location of each of the schools in question.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): The information requested by the Deputy in respect of post-primary school buildings projects in County Galway is set out beneath.

Details

Convent of Mercy, Tuam.

A major extension of 1050 sq. metres is expected to be completed in November 1984.

Corr na Móna, Vocational School.

A two classroom extension is expected to be completed shortly.

Glenamaddy, Vocational School.

A three classroom extension is expected to be completed shortly.

The information relating to primary schools in County Galway is not readily available in my Department but is being [935] compiled by the Commissioners of Public Works. It will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
