427. Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant under the old scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford and if not, the reason for the non payment.

[1445] Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): A grant cannot be paid in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme in question, a claim for payment was not received in my Department by 31 January 1980.

428. Mr. Leyden asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite payment of a £1,000 grant to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out shortly.
