218. Mr. D. Moynihan asked the Minister for the Public Service the reason that the brochure entitled Careers for School Leavers issued by the Civil Service has not been published as PAYE contributors are being levied specifically for the [779] purpose of increasing employment opportunities for young people.

Minister for the Public Service (Mr. Boland): I am aware that the brochure has not as yet been published by the Civil Service Commissioners. They are, I understand, examining the situation so as to ensure that the maximum amount of information is made available to school-leavers and job applicants while taking public expenditure constraints into account.
