211. Mr. Dowling asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): The grant was paid on 4 November 1983.

212. Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment the reasons for the refusal of a new house grant in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): The application in this case was rejected because the floor area of the house exceeds the statutory maximum allowable for grant purposes which is 125 square metres (1,346 sq. ft.).
