152. Mr. O'Kennedy asked the Minister for Labour the total allocation from the EEC Social Fund (a) in 1982 and (b) to date in 1983; and if he will indicate precisely how these funds have been allocated.

Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn): European Social Fund grants amounting to £85,453,605 in 1982 and to £123,627,352 in 1983 were approved for Ireland by the EEC Commission. The following table indicates how these grants have been allocated.
