445. Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Finance if he will rectify a tax error for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will give details of his tax free allowance problem.

Minister for Finance (Mr. Dukes): I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, according to their records, the taxpayer ceased employment in January 1983. The inspector of taxes was unaware that he had resumed employment in the meantime and is now writing to him in the matter.
