338. Mr. Begley asked the Minister for Education the reason a tender has not been sought for the new school in Killarney, County Kerry.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): Authorisation to seek tenders in a particular case is given in the context of the co-ordinated programme of capital expenditure for each financial year. The question of authorisation to seek tenders in the case of the proposed new vocational school in Killarney will be considered in relation to the capital expenditure programme for 1984.

County Kerry Vocational Education Committee will be communicated with in connection with the matter in due course.
