276. Mr. F. Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide in the 1984 Estimates for the provision of new library headquarters in County Galway.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): My Department have approved of proposals for the leasing of part of Island House, Galway, for use as a headquarters for the County Library.

The rental charges on the library portion of the premises will rank for subsidy in the normal way.
