Dáil Éireann - Volume 346 - 22 November, 1983 Written Answers. - County Galway School Transport. Mr. Molloy Mr. Molloy 156 466. Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for school transport for 15 children residing in the Rossroe/Cloonisle/ Tamnaghbawn area of County Galway [156] who attend Cashel national school, Connemara, County Galway; and if so, when a decision will be made on the application. Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey) Gemma Hussey Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): My Department have received an application for the provision of a special transport service to Cashel national school from the Rossroe, Carramore, Tawnaghbawn and Cloonlee areas. In order that such a service be provided it would be necessary that there would be a sufficient number of eligible pupils in a distinct locality to ensure that a minimum of ten eligible children would be conveyed to school each day by the service. The eligible pupils in question do not live in a distinct locality and, accordingly, I regret that it is not open to my Department to provide a special service for them.
