Written Answers. - Dublin Schools' Working Loss.

113. Mrs. Lemass asked the Minister for Education if she will consider allocating a special supplementary grant to Mary Queen of Angels Schools I and II, Dublin to overcome the projected working loss of £9,110.57 and so enable them to remain in operation.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): In recognition of the increased running costs of national schools the rate of capitation grant has been increased by £2 in 1983 at a cost of £1.1 million. This rate of grant is of general application and it is not possible to make additional money available to individual schools.
