852. Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education when financial assistance will be made available to safeguard the structures of a technical school (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): I propose to take Questions Nos. 849, 850 and 852 together.

The question of remedial works to the existing buildings at Wexford town vocational school is being considered in the context of the proposals for the overall development of the school. My Department expect to be in a position to respond to the recent proposals from the Town of Wexford Vocational Education Committee in the very near future.

At this early stage of consideration it would not be possible to state when either remedial work or work on additional accommodation will commence.
