354. Mr. P. Gallagher asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve the contract documents for the sewerage extension to Millburn-Corcullion, County Donegal.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): Donegal County Council's proposal to extend the Castlefin sewerage scheme to serve the Millburn-Corcullion area must be considered in the context of the large number of fully approved sanitary services schemes in progress or getting to construction for which adequate finance must be provided including the following schemes in Donegal for which I recently approved contract documents: West Inishowen water supply scheme (Clonmany/Buncrana); Kilcar Sewerage Scheme; Donegal town water supply [1911] scheme (River Eske Source); East Inishowen water supply scheme.

I cannot say at this stage when I will be in a position to approve the contract documents for the Millburn-Corcullion sewerage extension, which are under consideration in my Department.
