Written Answers. - Accommodation of Autistic Adults.

678. Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who is an autistic adult to be suitably accommodated as he is being refused accommodation in the hostel in Grosvenor Road, Dublin; and when adequate facilities will be set up to deal with the accommodation of autistic adults who have violent tendencies.

Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): This person's position was first brought to my attention on 24 May. I have asked the Eastern Health Board to let me have a full report on this particular case and also on the general situation regarding services for autistic persons in Dublin.
