O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture when a calf premium [1988] grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. Mr. J. O'Leary Mr. J. O'Leary 789. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture when calf premium grants will be paid to farmers in County Kerry. Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy) Austin Deasy Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 788 and 789 together. Payments of calf premium on calves born between 20 May 1982 and 30 June 1982 will commence this week for all counties (including Kerry) and will be completed in June. Mr. J. O'Leary Mr. J. O'Leary 790. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture when grants under the farm modernisation scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy) Austin Deasy Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): The local office of the Department has not yet been notified by the applicant that the work has been completed. When notification is received, a final inspection will be carried out and if the work is satisfactorily completed the grant will be paid without delay, provided the other conditions of the scheme have been complied with. The grant is payable only if the work is completed, and the farm development service notified to that effect, by 30 June 1983. Mr. Aylward Mr. Aylward 791. Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as all work has been completed and approved.
