Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Children's Day.

18. Mr. N. Andrews asked the Minister for Health if he will extend official recognition to National Children's Day.

Mr. B. Desmond: It is not the usual practice for the Government to formally designate special days in connection with occasions promoted by voluntary organisations.

However, so far as my Department are concerned, health boards will continue to give their support at local level in every way possible to any activities organised by the National Children's Day Association to mark the occasion.
