845. Mr. F. Fahey asked the Minister for Agriculture the position in regard to the Land Commission's involvement in an estate (details supplied) in County Galway.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): The Land Commission have decided to terminate the acquisition proceedings in respect of this estate.

846. Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will make a section 40 order in respect of an estate (details supplied) in County Galway and ensure that it is allocated to the local small farmers.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): The Land Commission have already decided to have this estate inspected pursuant to the Land Acts.

847. Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a section 40 order was not made in respect of an estate (details supplied) in County Galway; and [720] if he will do so now and thereby ensure that these lands are allocated to the local small farmers.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): Having regard to all the factors involved in this case the Land Commission have decided not to move for the acquisition of the lands.

848. Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will make a section 40 order in respect of an estate (details supplied) in County Galway and ensure that these lands are allocated to the local small farmers.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Deasy): The Land Commission have no proposals for the acquisition of this estate but the case has been noted.
