637. Mr. Calleary asked the Minister for the Environment when sanction will be granted to Mayo County Council to proceed with the construction of a swimming pool at Ballina, County Mayo, for which documents have been lodged with his Department.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): Documents submitted by Mayo County Council on 13 April in respect of the proposed swimming pool at Ballina are being examined in my Department at present. It is not possible at this stage to state when it will be possible to sanction the proposal.
