619. Mr. F. Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): The file in this case is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to payment of the grant.

620. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the long delay in paying a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and when the grant will be paid.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. An inspection of this house, in February 1983 revealed that it was not occupied.

A further inspection has now been arranged with a view to payment of the grant.
