Written Answers. - County Galway Group Water Scheme.

618. Mr. F. Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment the position in regard to the planning of the Knockdoe group water scheme County Galway.

[637] Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): While survey sheets in relation to a proposed group water scheme were submitted to my Department last November, I understand that the supply of water to the houses at Knockdoe, County Galway, is dependent on progress with the mid-Galway group scheme. Construction of the headworks for the latter is nearing completion and plans for the distribution mains are at present being examined by my Department and by the Galway County Council.
