Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): A grant under the current scheme cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant has been so informed.

A grant under the Department's former scheme of house improvement grants was approved on 8 December 1979 for the person named. As this requirement was not complied with the grant cannot be paid.
