279. Mr. G. Birmingham asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Service will be restored within the next few days.

280. Mr. G. Birmingham asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

281. Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the emergency work necessary to allow for the provision of a telephone service to applicants in the Lucan area of County Dublin will be completed.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Engineering work to enable telephone service to be provided for applicants in the Lucan area will be carried out progressively over the next 12 to 18 months.

282. Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the emergency work necessary to allow for the provision of a telephone service to applicants in the Palmerstown area of County Dublin will be completed.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Engineering work to enable telephone service to be provided for applicants in the Palmerstown area will be carried out progressively over the next 12 to 18 months.

283. Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a second telephone line will be provided for a firm (details supplied) in Dublin which applied in March 1981.

284. Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be transferred for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Within about a year.

285. Miss Harney asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a telephone service as a matter of urgency for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Service will be provided as soon [1138] as possible, but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed for another six months or so.

286. Miss Harney asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have the telephone of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin repaired immediately and allow a rental rebate.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Service has been restored. A rebate rental will be allowed.

287. Mr. Fleming asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who needs service urgently.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed for another six months or so.

289. Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is an old age pensioner living alone.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): It is expected that service will be provided within about six months.
