459. Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reasons a person (details supplied) in Dublin has [480] not been appointed to the post of a postman in his Department; and if he will make a statement in the matter.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Wilson): The candidate referred to was not nominated to my Department by the Civil Service Commissioners as having been successful in the competition which was held by them and, accordingly, he was not offered appointment.
