Mr. Boland asked the Minister for Education whether a survey has now been carried out of any suitable sites available in the area of Askeaton, County Limerick, for the provision of a post-primary school; whether a suitable site has now been identified; if so, its location; and when it is anticipated that it will be purchased.

Minister for Education (Professor O'Donoghue): A suitable site has not yet been identified for the proposed new second level school at Askeaton. Arrangements have been made by my Department for an early meeting with representatives of Limerick County Council to discuss the suitability of sites  which may be considered to be available in the Askeaton area.
