334. Mr. Donnellan asked the Minister for Finance why a person (details supplied) in County Galway is paying £201.50 tax on a gross income of £806 per year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Finance (Mr. MacSharry): I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that from the information supplied they are unable to trace the taxpayer in their records. If the name of the tax office, which deals with his tax affairs, and the appropriate serial number are supplied, the matter will be further examined.
