Dáil Éireann - Volume 333 - 09 March, 1982 Message from the President. An Ceann Comhairle John F. O'Connell An Ceann Comhairle: A message has been received from the President stating that the Supreme Court has decided that the Housing Private Rented Dwellings Bill, 1981, is repugnant to the Constitution and accordingly he has declined to sign the Bill. Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon: I am reliably informed that some Deputies were not in the House when the doors were locked for this afternoon's vote and that they entered through the doors of the Press Gallery. Is this allowed? I remember one occasion when I was unfortunately locked out of this Chamber but I was not aware there was a back entrance. If I had been so aware I could have used it. (Interruptions.) Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon 78 Mr. McMahon: All I am asking is that [78] the Ceann Comhairle have this matter investigated and let Deputies know if this is in order. Mr. N. Andrews Mr. N. Andrews Mr. N. Andrews: I saw the Deputy coming in the door—— Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon: Deputy Andrews came in the wrong door a little over a week ago and that is why he was not mentioned here this afternoon. An Ceann Comhairle John F. O'Connell An Ceann Comhairle: I was not aware that that happened and I will have the matter investigated. Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon Mr. McMahon: Will you inform the House? An Ceann Comhairle John F. O'Connell An Ceann Comhairle: Yes. The Dáil adjourned at 9.30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 23 March 1982. Dáil Éireann 333 Message from the President.
