617. Mr. Byrne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Education when the extension to the school at Rosslare Strand, County Wexford, will be built.

Minister for Education (Mr. Boland): It is proposed to provide two additional classrooms at Rosslare Strand National School, Co. Wexford. The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to submit a report on the feasibility of having the necessary accommodation provided. Pending the submission of this report, the preparation of sketch-plans cannot be initiated.
It is not possible at this stage to state when building work may commence. Every effort will be made, however, to expedite the planning process so that building work may commence as soon as possible.
