Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ministerial Meetings.

26. Mr. Daly asked the Minister for Labour the number of meetings he has had since his appointment with the Employment Equality Agency and the Council for the Status of Women.

Mr. Kavanagh: I met the chairperson of the Employment Equality Agency on 29 July 1981 and the chairperson and members of the agency on 18 September 1981. I also spoke at the closing session of a seminar with the theme “Developing and Implementing Equal Opportunities Policies” which was co-sponsored by the Employment Equality Agency, the IDA and AnCO and took place on 5 November last.

The Taoiseach had a comprehensive discussion with representatives of the Council for the Status of Women on 29 [30] September and I will be meeting with the representatives of that body on 7 December next.

Mrs. Lemass: Does the Minister intend to increase the amount of money that those agencies are going to receive in 1982? Is he going to give them a considerable increase?

Mr. Kavanagh: I think that is another question before me.

An Ceann Comhairle: That is a separate question.
