[1112] 392. Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate the amount of money to be spent under the £300 million EEC package scheme under each heading in the next five years.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. MacSharry): Under the Programme of Measures for the Development of Agriculture in the West of Ireland, for which formal clearance by the EEC Commission is expected shortly, it is projected that State expenditure on the various measures over the period 1981 to 1985 inclusive will be as follows:

Approximately half the total of IR£143.3 million will be recouped from FEOGA. IR£15.8 million has also been provided under the package from FEOGA funds for the improvement of agricultural marketing and processing facilities in the west over the period 1980-1982. IR£5 million of this amount has already been allocated to projects in 1980.

393. Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will list the 22 centres where farm training will take place and for which assistance is being granted under the £300 million EEC package scheme.

Minister for Agriculture (Mr. MacSharry): The programme which is expected to be formally approved by EEC Commission shortly in relation to the Western Aid Package covers the following 22 local agricultural training centres: Co. Cavan — Bailieboro, Ballyjamesduff, Killeshandra; Co. Cork — Bantry, Skibbereen; Co. Clare — Kilrush; Co. Donegal — Donegal, Innishowen, Letterkenny, Lifford; Co. Galway — Galway, Tuam; Co. Kerry — [1113] Cahirciveen, Dingle, Listowel; Co. Leitrim — Manorhamilton; Co. Mayo — Ballinrobe, Westport; Co. Monaghan — Carrickmacross; Co. Roscommon — Boyle, Castlerea; Co. Sligo — Ballymote.
