378. Mr. Keegan asked the Minister for Finance why the Office of Public Works will not complete the construction of a bridge on the lands of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

Minister for Finance (Mr. G. Fitzgerald): The Commissioners of Public Works did not undertake the construction of the bridge in question and as it was not affected by their works on the Boyne drainage scheme they do not propose to carry out any works to the bridge.
