304. Mr. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the difficulties being experienced by a person (details supplied) in Dublin in respect of the payment of a home improvement grant, and if he will make a statement in the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Barrett): A grant of £110 for electrical re-wiring was paid on 21 September 1979, to the contractor in this case, in compliance with the applicant's request. A further grant of £264 for reconstruction work has been allocated and will be paid shortly.
