Dáil Éireann - Volume 322 - 11 June, 1980

Order of Business.

The Taoiseach: It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 3, 4 and 8. Private Members' Business will be taken from 7 to 8.30 p.m., No. 27 (resumed).

Mr. Cluskey: Has the Taoiseach any proposals as regards the method by which he intends to report back to the Dáil on the forthcoming Summit meeting?

The Taoiseach: I have been thinking about that. Perhaps the Whips could get together and see what way would best suit both leaders of the Opposition parties and myself, possibly some time during the day.

Mr. White: I should like to raise Question No. 6, in regard to the salmon levy, on yesterday's Order Paper on the Adjournment.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle: The Chair will comunicate with the Deputy.

Mr. P. Barry: Item No. 4 is a motion to complete Estimates for various Departments before the recess. I do not see included in it any Estimate for Fóir Teoranta.

[174] An Leas-Cheann Comhairle: When the motion is moved the Deputy can raise that matter. Before the Minister of State moves the motion I should like to point out that on page 1186, the second page of this motion, the Minister of State will note that it reads 11.45 p.m. both in the Irish and English versions. I presume we will not sit until 11.45 on Friday and it should read 11.45 a.m.

Dr. FitzGerald: By agreement of the House.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle: In regard to motion No. 4 on the bottom of the same page in line 4, the Irish word “Acht” appears; it should be “Act”. It could create problems later.

Mr. Cluskey: If only we could correct the Government's other mistakes as easily.
