214. Mr. Smith asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have improvement work at Thurles post office, County Tipperary, completed as a matter of urgency.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Reynolds): I understand from the Office of Public Works that the contractor employed to carry out improvements at Thurles post office experienced difficulty in obtaining certain supplies. These difficulties have been overcome and I am informed that the work will be completed shortly.
