Mr. Keegan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for payment to be made in sterling to all recipients of British Social Welfare pensions residing in Ireland. As I indicated previously British social welfare pensioners residing in this country are, since October 1979, paid direct by payable orders issued by the Department of Health and Social Security at four-weekly intervals.
