559. Mr. Boland asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a free rental telephone will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin, who applied on the 19 November 1978.

Minister for Social Welfare (Dr. Woods): An application for a free [132] telephone rental allowance from the person concerned was approved by my Department on 6 November 1978. His application was then forwarded to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs for attention with regard to the installation of a telephone. When a telephone is installed the rental allowance will apply to the telephone account involved.
