363. Mr. M. O'Leary asked the Minister for Labour the number of man-days lost through strikes to date in 1978.

Minister for Labour (Mr. G. Fitzgerald): The Central Statistics Office is the official source of statistics relating to industrial disputes. Statistics are not yet available from that office concerning industrial disputes during 1978. My Department estimate, however, that 469,000 man-days were lost as a result of strikes during the first ten months of 1978.
