268. Mr. Harte asked the Minister for Health if he will make funds available as soon as possible for the construction of a welfare geriatric home at Buncrana; and if he is aware of the chronic need for these facilities in the Inishowen area of Donegal.

Minister for Health (Mr. Haughey): My Department are at present examining the North-Western Health Board's proposals for accommodation for the aged and chronic sick in County Donegal and I will sympathetically consider the board's proposals for the provision of facilities for the aged in the Inishowen area.
