Dáil Éireann - Volume 295 - 08 December, 1976

Written Answers. - Mayo Telephones.

43. Mr. Calleary asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that a large number of applicants for telephones in County Mayo are waiting for over two years for connections; and if he will state when telephones will be provided.

Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Dr. Cruise-O'Brien): There are about 200 such applications on hands. It is expected that telephones will be provided for about 40 of these within the next two to three months and for most of the balance progressively during 1977.
