118. Dr. Gibbons asked the Minister for Education if any plans have been submitted to him for additional classrooms at Strokestown, County Roscommon, post-primary school; if so, when he will be in a position to sanction the work; and the grant that will be available.

Minister for Education (Mr. Richard Burke): An application for a grant towards the provision of additional accommodation at Strokestown, County Roscommon, post-primary school has been received but specific plans have not yet been submitted. The application has been approved, but at this early stage of the planning process it is not possible to state when the grant for the construction work will be available.
