Dáil Éireann - Volume 293 - 02 November, 1976

Order of Business.

The Taoiseach: It is proposed to take Nos. 5 and 6 on the Order Paper together. By agreement there will be no time limitation on opening Government and Opposition speakers. With the exception of the closing speakers, there will be a limit of 45 minutes on all other speakers. The final Opposition speaker will be called on not later than 6.30 p.m. tomorrow and the final Government speaker will be called on not later than 7.30 p.m. tomorrow to reply to the debate. By agreement there will be no Private Members' Business this week.

Mr. Gallagher: May I ask the Taoiseach if it is the intention of the Government to make time available to discuss the recent fisheries agreement negotiated over the weekend and, if so, when?

The Taoiseach: We did not hear any such suggestion until the Deputy mentioned it. As the Deputy is aware, there was a motion on it only last week. The matter will be considered by the Whips.
