1. Mr. Wilson asked the Minister for Education if he will provide a grant for the maintenance of electronic teaching equipment in schools for the deaf as a matter of urgency.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education (Mr. Bruton): I am happy to announce that a scheme for the maintenance of the equipment has now been agreed on and my Deparment are in contact with the National Rehabilitation Board with a view to having the scheme implemented as quickly as possible.
