22. Mr. Moore asked the Minister for the Public Service the number of personnel it is planned to recruit for the civil service in the period ending June, 1977.

Mr. Begley (for the Minister for the Public Service): On the basis of the information now available, it is estimated that the number of persons who will be appointed to the civil service in the period ending 30th June, 1977 will be about 3,300.
