O'Leary asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of [1300] the dissatisfaction among parents of children attending Kilcummin national school near Killarney, County Kerry regarding the operation of the school transport scheme in that area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: The service is catering for all the children in the school area who are eligible for free transport. Fare-paying facilities for children who are ineligible for free transport on distance grounds may be provided only when this can be done incidentally at no extra State cost in the course of catering for eligible children.
